I have always been interested in photography even from an early
age. For many years I took photographs of friends and family
just simply for my own pleasure. I t started out I would be
asked to take some portraits for friends then they would recommend
me to someone else and so on this gave me the incentive to take
my hobby further.
Deciding I wanted to make more of my hobby I attended a contemporary
training seminar on child portraiture at the Annabel Williams
studio which focused on capturing natural lifestyle images.
it was interesting
to photograph the children whilst they were playing and to capture
their natural expressions which doesn't always have to be a
smile to look cute.
I like to have a relaxed and casual approach to my photography
and I prefer to take photos in natural light whenever possible.
I find both children and adults are more relaxed in the comfort
and familiarity of their own home, garden or a nearby favorite
location. A favorite cuddly toy or even the family pet can help
to make the session more relaxed and fun.
I use digital equipment, which enables me to produce fresh and
contemporary images. All images can be produced in Color, Black
& White or Sepia.
